The POD-LRAD is an fully integrated marine range of surveillance, communication and deterrence technologies. This IP66 rated environmentally-sealed rugged pan/tilt positioner comes with dual cameras, a long range acoustic device, and a 5000mW high power Non-lethal laser dazzler.
The POD-LRAD system has been developed to address the requirements of vessels directly facing threats at sea. It provides 360’ degree directional viewing, with a high performance color CCD camera and an IR camera for superior nighttime performance over land or water. With long range verbal communication and a Non-lethal laser dazzler, the unit allows the user to choose between illumination, hail/warning, and suppression/deterrence operations. Using the experience of non-lethal operational users, there is an exhaustive list of possible applications for the unit.
Available in various configurations, the system versions can be operated via cabled controller and video monitor, or over a network through a user friendly operating system.
